Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Our representative will take you to your hotel at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu where you can relax. In the evening, our representative will explain more about the trek. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
After breakfast, we manage you to visit the major World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu; Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, Holy Hindu Temple at Pasupatinath, Monkey Temple (Swayambhunath), Baud Dhanath Stupa. In the evening you will prepare all the necessary parts for further trekking. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and then drive to Chichila
After breakfast, you can go on a domestic flight to Tumlinger in the morning, which offers sky-high views of the snow-capped mountains; Ganesh Himal from Mt. Everest, Macaulay, and Mt. Mountain. After a 40-minute beautiful flight from Kathmandu, we arrive at Tumlingter, where we head to the small Gurung village of Chichila. Overnight in Chichila.
Day 4: Chichila to Num
Today, after breakfast in the morning, we begin the morning hike to Num Valley. Walking quietly and quietly through the picturesque villages and dense mountain forests take us to the beautiful village of Num. We could explore this beautiful village and stay there all night.
Day 5: Num to Seduwa
Today, we descend through forests and terraced fields, which take us to the Barun River, 800 meters below. We cross the river and follow a similar steep climb to the opposite side. We have now entered the Makalu Barun National Park and registered permits at the checkpoint. We were staying in a night camp at the top of the village of Seduwa.
Day 6: Seduwa to Tashigaon
After breakfast, we take a short and scenic walk of 3-4 hours at Tashigaon, which takes you to small villages. After passing through the hills and quiet villages, you reach the village of Tashgaon.
Day 7: Tashigaon to Khongma
After breakfast, we leave the human settlement to our destination. It is a difficult day as you have to walk the steep trail at a high altitude. We walk through the refreshing and beautiful shade of the rhododendron oak forest, then leave the dense forest. Kharka's walking path is steep. This eventually leads to rough cliffs and small lakes on the hill. From here it is a short distance to Khongma Danda.
Day 8: Acclimatization day at Khongma
The next day we are allowed some rest on the day before crossing Shipton la. People who want to investigate closer embedding can move around the area.
Day 9: Khongma to Dobato
After breakfast, we arrive at the peak of Shipton Law (Pass), which takes a few hours to reach. After Kalo Pokhari Lake (3930 m), Keku lane is 4,170 m. We can see the beautiful views of many mountains. After crossing Keke La Pass, we head to the beautiful valley of Dobato.
Day 10: Dobato to Yangri Kharka
Today, after breakfast, we go from Dobato to the Rhododendron forest to the Yangal Kharkha, which leads to the Barun River and the upper part of the valley. The first two hours of this trek route were steep and difficult, so we had to be very careful. After a comfortable and slow walk, we arrive at the Yangri Kharkha at the bottom of the valley.
Day 11: Trek Langmale Kharka
Today, we moderately walk through valley, villages and dense forests. Because of the high altitude, we limit the ascent rate to ensure our body has the right time.
Day 12: Langmale Kharka to Makalu Base Camp
Today was a very short trekking day, and we made it to base camp. Today's trek offers stunning views of its southern face, including the Barents, Everest and Lots. The trail is paved with snow-capped glaciers and snow-capped mountains.
Day 13: Explore Makalu Base Camp
Makalu Base Camp is a rocky and barren place, with a large Barun Glacier above it. From here you can see the stunning south face of Makalu and the full view of Everest and Lhotse.
Day 14: Makalu Base Camp to Yangri Kharka
On our way from the Makalu base camp to the Yangry Kharka, we descend and take in the views of Makalu. We walk through Langmale Kharka, Shersong and Merek and finally reach Yangri Kharka.
Day 15: Yangri Kharka to Dobato
Today we arrive at the village of Dobate from Yangry Kharka to Dobato through the waterfalls, lush green forests, and valleys. For most walks, we walk along the Barun River.
Day 16: Dobato to Khongma Danda
Today, we begin a steep trek from Dobato to Mumbuk and then continue through the lush green forest of Rhododendron and Fir. Then we reach Khongma Danda beyond Keke La, Tutu La (Shipson Pass) and Karma La.
Day 17: Khongma Danda to Tashigaon
Today, we occasionally make long and steep descents along the hills. Then head into the dense forest and head to the local Sherpa village in Tashigaon.
Day 18: Tashigaon to Seduwa
Today, as we exit the Makalu Barun National Park and descend into the Barun River, we take our steps back. Stopping again at Seduwa as we walk up the hill and across the river, passing through villages and settlements, and then further down.
Day 19: Seduwa to Num
Today, after breakfast, we leave Seduwa and head through the lush green forests to the village of Num. As we go down, the trail goes up and down through dense forests and Sherpa villages.
Day 20: Num to Tumlingtar
After breakfast, we walk through Chihira, from where you can see the stunning view of Mt. Makalu was the last. The last stop of this great trek was Tumlingtar.
Day 21: Fly to Kathmandu
Today, after breakfast, in the morning, after a long trek in the mountains, we return to Kathmandu. We take a rest day at the hotel. In the evening, we celebrate our successful trip to Makalu Base Camp.
Day 22: Last Departure
The tour goes to the end now. The representative will help you with your final departure.
